NATIONAL HELICOPTER SERVICES LIMITED –

The objectives of our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policies are to:

Provide a risk-based HSE Management System framework, consistent with clients’ international standards, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other internationally recognized standards.
Set out and formalize expectations for the progressive development and implementation of more specific and detailed HSE Management Systems at all levels of NHSL.
Provide an enabling environment which would lend to continuous improvement and leading industry practice.

	OBJECTIVES	MEASURES
HEALTH	Completion of the work without compromise to the health and well being of personnel. Conduct hearing test on all staff. Conduct drug testing on all staff	Zero Serious Illness (defined as an occupational illness that requires the patient to leave the operation) Certificates of completion by qualified doctor. Documented results to be placed within employee files
SAFETY	Development of a safety culture that protects effectively the safety of personnel and those affected by the operations.	Zero Lost Time Injuries Zero flight accidents involving injury to personnel and/or company equipment. Zero accidents involving equipment or other company assets Collate statistics monthly and review performance with all staff.
ENVIRONMENT	Complete and enforce the implementation of recording waste generation and disposal.	Zero harm to the Environment Record all spills and incidents Collate data on hazardous waste disposal.
